What's with the FJ response being different from what the contestants got credit for?

We still haven't found out the occupation nor the town the returning champion Leslie Johnson Kelsay is from.

I've added utility manager and originally from Missouri. While the recording has the introduction with the city I can't make out what Johnny said. I sort of hear Py-ston, By-ston, Sy-ston, Fy-ston... The audio has a dip as Johnny says it.

An obit of a different Leslie who I'm pretty sure was her husband, led me to a Facebook profile of a woman with the same name who graduated from Sikeston High School in Missouri, so that's my guess. Sikeston.

Thanks. You or someone else filled it in before I got to it.

I'll do BN3 tomorrow and BN4 on Saturday instead of waiting to cycle back through S4 twice more.

Most 5xers needed a little luck along way. Bruce pulled off an escape from 3rd against two capable opponents.

Andy: I went with Scurlock for George and gave Kasey a hyphen.

No two archivists would archive the SOUND OFF category the same way. The gist of it is there. Bruce really did a good job with the fanfare clue (the Bronx cheer was funny) and I bet Bruce was a good singer.

All these years later I remembered the "about $1,000" wager was Bruce; I just did not know which game it happened. Right after that Alex had to give an Arizona coincidence speech, so no way the boards were getting cleared.

Andy: Murnane and Daddow are a little different that what you had, but Google seemed happy with the choices.

Clue count at 470,007, but don't know whether 470,000 is this game or Masters 6 that RKS is doing?

First 2 for me on J22 and no way getting the third one.

Audio DD would have been farm plus wallet for the opposite of Bruce because there was little doubt what was coming.

Ed was a spectacular Jekyll & Hyde. Alex did not give Ed's last name at chat but did give it when doing the scoring change prior to the FJ! clue reveal.

I read an article years ago about the show that gave tips to future players. It quoted a former player who said he decided to memorize the list of Olympic cities in preparation for the show and it paid off on one of his FJs. I guess Bruce is who I read about.

You need to chop off the apostrophe from Mary’s of in DJ20.

Jack negged himself out of a chance to steal the game.

While I knew all 3 for final I would have written 1st place & 3rd, the two I was most sure about.

In 2023 I thought I was at a point to never have to hear that Audio DD song again. Wrong.

Hi All:

I was a contestant in either the first or second season, I can't be quite sure, although I do know it was the last taped game of the season. But in the Jarchive, my game as well as all the games of the guy I played against - a five day champ - are not there, nor is his name listed anywhere. Who would I communicate with in order to help make a more complete record? And thanks!

B Shawn
Loser to Gary Giardino the opera singer from New York and five day champ (although I will forever contest the phrasing of the final jeopardy answer as wrong 😂)

BTW I have a low res dvd of the game transferred from VHS if that would be of use to anyone

We don't have your game, or any of Gary Giardina's original five (note: not Giardino). Will PM you.

Not an everyday feat, Daniel swept the $100 clues.

J29 & J30 had an air of familiarity to them.

DJ23 upon its reveal had me saying, "Don't do it" before Daniel did it.

Should have yelled “Don’t do it” when Bill was making his FJ bet.

Period should be a comma after “time” in J4?

Oh yeah, that FJ! bet. Period to comma fixed, thanks.

Thanks to Billy, this game—1986-06-06—is now in: https://j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=7934

Intros weren't there, so we're going off the chat for the contestant's info.

I was disappointed that the rest of the sandwich category wasn't played.

Billy, I hate to say this, but regardless of how Final Jeopardy! was worded, your bet made it a moot point. That said, I do seem to recall hearing stories later about this specific Final being memorable for some reason or another.

Kay Kipling vs. Danna Schoenberg vs. Jeff Raines

Danna with 2 N's rhyming with Hannah

A better Audio DD in this game.
