This game is a 4th podium special with enough trash available to have more than David's $14,600 entering the FJ! round.

Actress of the '30s, WWII brothers, balloon brothers... all viewers will be feasting on the leftovers while watching the show.

David is the one cleaning up with three wins and only one of six opponents solving the FJ! clue correctly.

Really, another 2-part FJ! clue dealing with countries? A little more variety, please, writers. I thought, did not know for sure, I had the right continent for the river in the clue, but had a lot of trouble parsing the clue. Brainstorming the rivers I knew on the continent got me nowhere and I switched to yesterday's continent.

That only wasted more time and I ended up with nothing on my paper. What I needed to do was not try to figure out the rivers and to instead figure out the similar-sounding countries. Bad approach and bad result.

Emily had 7600 after the J! round and 8800 entering the FJ! round without DD2 and DD3 affecting her score. Hot start and cold finish did leave her with enough for 2nd place money, but any SCT chances went out the window with the weak middle round.

Ken does well with the chats and he is quite good at dealing with the varied tales.

Poll request: I got Wednesday's Final clue right despite not knowing that those were the names of rivers.

It appears that Emily wagered to pass David if he wagered 0 but forgot to guard against Sam who left 100 on the table for no reason. Always interesting to see round number wagers like that that seem to have a purpose, I think it usually indicates an issue doing basic math. That could also be a reason for not covering Sam. And there's also the possibility she just wrote down some random round number.

Regarding the FJ clue, it's very simple when asked in a LL format, perhaps not so much given a little over 30 seconds to answer. Best strategy if you don't know it cold is to determine what part of the world the Parana is most likely to be. Then (if correct) mentally go through the 12 countries on that continent. Then have to write down both countries with a funky device.

It's a fun clue for sure, just not a good clue for FJ.

David kept forgetting the category in One Named Rock Stars. Surprised the Montgolfier Brothers and Reichenbach Falls were bottom row clues. Both are basic trivia 101. At least they should be for aspiring Jeopardy contestants.

Oy! Opus, you got a poll in you? I lost track of all the TSs. David certainly didn’t excel at one-named rock stars, not even remembering the category for a couple of his misses. And FJ: name 2 S American countries with the same last 4 letters. Ok, I can do that…

Yep, picked up lots of high dollar LT.

I knew exactly where the Parana is, and the it took only a second to realize which two countries, and hence rivers, were needed.

Put in these simpler terms, I think I could have gotten it. Didn't pick up on parana as a tip off for South America.

Figured the rivers were in South America, but couldn’t figure out the names. Honestly, I found the FJ clue confusing.

Went whale-watching last week, so was not missing fluke

+1

David had 38 attempted buzzes again but went from 79% to 53%.

I missed the UA clue. Maybe it will stick now.

Ditto. I got on the right track by deciding there is not a Brazil River, and moving south on the continent always takes me to Uruguay. Easy from there, although even easier if you know the 12 countries cold without drawing a mental map. (And of course I didn't know there was a Paraguay or Uraguay River or even a Parana River.)
