Welp, it was messy but David Sibley managed another win. With $18,200 in trash and a triple stumper FJ, many boardies will be in a position to overtake him from the couch.

$13,000 + FJ makes this an easy win. Swept the SJ round. In DJ I could've got to Stevenson with a little more time. Just slow tonight. I blanked on "metamorphosis" or I'd have entered FJ with enough to get the win even if David had gotten it right. And for the WW2 brothers I might have said "Ryan", though probably not. David saved me the trouble of deciding whether to deduct points for that wrong guess.
Slash was a surprising miss, Reichenbach Fall not surprising at all. J! contestants have demonstrated time and again that Sherlock Holmes is not a strength for most of them. I'm glad the writers aren't dissuaded from continuing to include such clues. Those of you in the pool, there's some easy money there and you'll have an enjoyable time acquiring the knowledge. Read the first two books of short stories and synopses of the first three novels if you're in a hurry.
One neg among these (said Strom Thurmond instead of Adlai Stevenson, which would have been right if the clue had said 1948 instead of 1952), clams on Knights Templar, Mae West, and Sullivan, and I got everything else for $11,200. My FJ get seals the deal.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?
Metamorphosis only on the rebound; would have clammed if not for the wrong answer being given. No to Beck and Mae West (played it off the archive so didn't see the picture -- "requested URL not found on this server). Maybe a 70% chance I would have ID'd here, depending on the photo.
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.

Looks like you replied to yourself to correct the typo. You have to use the little pencil icon to edit.

It was not a very representative photo of West.
I got $11,200. Should have had $2000 more, but I brain-farted the Montgolfier brothers. Was also correct on FJ.
