I said Christie. Apparently all the ships in the Alien series are named after ships in works by the correct-response author.

Went through the crew names first, then finally the ship itself.

This game is a draw for the Intermediate Form of Shore's Conjecture. The second-place player bet "big." --Bob

Ken opened with some correct clues numbers with Amy & Sam close at 54 & 53 while Andrew trails at 47. The gap only widened today as the material was not for Andrew.

Amy's first pick? SONGS FROM THE HIT ALBUM $200.

Viewer necks will get a workout shaking from less than ideal clue selections from the players.

Almost laughable that after yesterday's FJ! clue the game would have a J! round THE KINGS JAMES BIBLE SAITH category today.

Sam got another 29th clue right to once again say his, "Bring it" to end the round.

The FJ! clue had me dismiss all three of the player misses for being too Level 1 for a ToC Finals game. Not being able to put anything together from the clue I wrote the name Heinlein to have someone harder than the typical guess.

The dots to connects for the FJ! clue were too tough for me though if the clue had given dot B then I would like to think I could have recalled the author, though not sure.

These wagers make me one sad panda. Who said wagering was better in the ToC?

Dallas didn't lead you to S.E. Hinton?

Ripley's closing lines of the movie are memorable and reinforces the name of the ship.

Those are good wagers. Amy had to think Sam wouldn't let Andrew into the game so she wagered to cover Sam's 6399 wager, yet stay above his 5001 wager if they were both wrong. Sam, thinking Amy might short the wager (which she did) just went all in which was a good move.

Amy had nothing to gain by wagering over 4999, if she was going to risk not covering Sam's double up. She only made herself vulnerable to Sam wagering zero, which he has done twice in this final series already.

Agree it wasn't out of line for Sam to wager big though, and boy, did he expose Amy for her tendency to not always make the recommended wager.
I hope Andrew was paying attention.

Some brutal boards for me. I'll count later, but I bet I stayed clam on about 40% of the board.

FJ was no better, as I wouldn't have gotten Conrad with 100 guesses. I wouldn't have strayed from sci-fi/fantasy writers. Matched Amy with Lovecraft.
