As long as Troy is playing it would seem we don't have to worry about less than 61 clues being shown each day. Troy's game 2 is what many of us were expecting yesterday. We'll see what the taping gap does to Troy's playing.

The FJ! clue is exactly what I needed to end the week. Thank you writers.

My game airs next Friday .. I know you like to joke about what runs through the challengers’ minds when a juggernaut shows up as champion, so I’ll let you imagine the curse words and/or inaudible gasps when I figured out who champ was LOL. Pedigree aside, it certainly doesn’t take a genius to know that 2 wins and 62k = excellent. Very impressive Coryat in this one.

I normally watch with the closed captioning turned off (it sometimes reveals responses before the contestant has articulated them, but I may have to record and watch this one again with them enabled, just to see how Sony rendered Ken's imitation of the sound effect.

Congrats on getting THE CALL. Troy was a millisecond away from losing yesterday, so up to four chances for him not be playing on the 27th. On FB I saw a contestant pic for someone on Tuesday.

It would be the taping on Dec. 7th, if Troy is still there, that would really have the new taping day's pool cursing and gasping.

Troy seems like an awfully strong contestant. Maybe if he wins a few more games we'll get to hear him answer a clue without first saying "UHHH."

At least one can hope.

58 R (Wasn't able to get the bottom two in Jason. Possibly would have gotten Jason Isaacs at another time.)

Anyone else getting a strong Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent vibe from Troy?

Troy did so well in DJ that it's kind of hard to believe that Mark had the lead at the end of the first round. Even when Troy didn't bet much on his second DD, he kept Mark from another TDD attempt (and Eric from attempting a comeback).

The FJ was a rare instaget for me. I heard that sound a lot as a kid since my father was a big fan of that show, but I swear I read that factoid somewhere in the last few years.

As The French Say $400 was an appropriate clue to close out the DJ round and the week. I like Troy and really hope he isn't given too much grief for his Uhhs.

I just read an almost-year-old interview with Sam Waterston before seeing this FJ - it even mentioned the junn junn sound (to quote the closed captioner, though Ken's utterance sounded more like chung chung to me!) - so I had the correct response at the top of my mind. Not certain I would have gotten it otherwise... :D

This, times 1,000.

As for FJ, I briefly considered Cop Rock (which also premiered in 1990), but concluded it was too obscure for regular play. From there, it was an easy leap to the correct response.

Spoiler
The only way this isn't a spoiler for the next 4 episodes is if you are intimating that you had this epiphany immediately on entering the studio as they begin to tape the 5 games for the day. Maybe you want to consider a quick edit on this post?[ I'll come back and wipe this out if a mod doesn't beat me to it /spoiler]

In any case I wish you luck and success. It's great seeing all these active boardies getting their 15 minutes of fame, and hopefully more :).

For some reason I haven't noticed the Uh's. Now I won't be able to unhear them going forward :( .

I can understand Troy being gunshy about monetizing the FJ in his second game so soon after the scare in his debut. But now that he has some bank, I will even agree with the "left money on the table" crowd. I usually disagree with that accusation for regular players because people aren't used to risking four figures of REAL money on an unknown prop bet. Troy's omniscience should be a license to let the FJ margins of victory ride at every chance possible hereafter.

I'm stoked that another regular boardie is going to be on next week! I am all in for threearuda as a recently active boardie.

I loved Ken Jennings doing the Tim Allen grunt.

No chance on FJ. I've never seen Law and Order. Or any other TV drama.
