Took three games though I'm glad Troy got to talk about his wife, Genevieve.

For fun let's give Duncan the full 13200 at DD2. That's 26400. Let's give Duncan $5 at DD3. That's 26395. Duncan gained a whopping $400 after DD3, so 26,795 for the FJ! round. Duncan cost Troy a lot of money with how the DDs shook out, but cost himself only $2,000 today.

It is the potential future where Duncan may have cost himself more as a higher finishing total would look better for a SCC spot.

The FJ! clue had me at little better than Sagittarius seems like pick a zodiac. 1 in 11 shot is unlikely to go well. I wrote my sign Libra thinking that somehow there is a balance like equinox to go with solstice.

Even if my logic had been better it would not have been surprising if I had the wrong tropic.

The laugh of the game was the shaving legs error when the category wanted "side".

By the fall it won't matter, or even tomorrow, perhaps, but Troy bumped Yogesh down a peg on the money list with a higher 3x total.

Tropics, which is what made it a coin flip in my case.

This clue is basically: narrow it from 12 to 2, then narrow it from 2 to 1. I'm sure with the right knowledge I could have done the last step, but I don't know what that knowledge is. Something about winter and the hemispheres? But winter in the northern hemisphere is summer in the southern hemisphere and [error error does not compute]

two wheelhouses for the price of one? 8-)

Knowing the solstice is around December 21, which is near the cusp between Sagittarius & Capricorn, made this an instaget.

I didn't think of the Tropics, so in my case the coin flip was between Scorpio and Capricorn, the two Zodiac constellations on either side of Sagittarius. I guessed right. --Bob

I'm kind of impressed that this feature was named in the last century BC. Would there even have been travel down to that latitude by the people contemplating it?

Even with your response here, I still had to google "tropics capricorn" and click through the first result before all the pieces fell together. This couldn't have been less my wheel house.

Not a coin flip if you think of astrological signs in December.

Feels like the clue should specify "At the northern hemisphere's Winter Solstice". It's not that the clue is unpinned without it, as the Sagittarius part does eliminate the possibility of Cancer as a valid alternate response. But still feels like poor writing not to be more precise with the language here.

I didn't even think about the actual zodiac dates, but I figured that during our Winter Solstice, the sun is closer to the southern hemisphere, (their summer), so this is the southern tropic, not the northern one.

When I check on the correction suggestions I never know if it will the game I just completed, some random old one or something out of left field.

This one I can't resist sharing:

I’m so mad about Johnny Gilbert today. Johnny said introducing today’s contestants on Monday. He did not say here are today’s contestants. I’m so mad at him. He made a mistake.

Not every mistake is worth canceling a person over. Johnny should just re-record his intro and make a public apology, keeping in mind the six Lewicki features of genuine apologies.

Started following Axe Cop from the second or third comic. The novelty wore off long before the TV show deal. The kid must be through college by now?

EDIT:
Spoiler
Looks like he just graduated high school last year.

Omgggggg I'm so hype to see Schliemann on the show at long last!!! When he was first on last week I was like "WAIT is that...?!" and had to explain to my wife what in the world I was talking about haha. I remember all those years ago how blown away we'd be at how smart he was and how he dominated the SHC every single year. I could never imagine why he wasn't on the show... I'm beyond thrilled that he's finally been given the opportunity. His run so far is absolutely NO surprise whatsoever to any of us who were here in the old days. No doubt in my mind that his run will go double digits. He's showing the world what those of us here have known for years. 8-)
