Not a new thing, though... The transition to clickbait site happened 2010-2018 and "Newsweek" has meant only clickbait since then.

That article also claimed that Melissa won the game with one dollar. One paragraph before explaining how she won the game BY one dollar. My kingdom for an editor!

If anything it cost her money. If she was negged and Jake rebounds, she finishes with $26,001.
I heard a very faint M, but not a c.

Re: Monday, March 20, 2023 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)
FJ was a case of too much knowledge being dangerous. I initially wrote down "What is Mauritania?" because I knew there was never a Roman province named Morocco and knew there was a Roman province called Mauretania (note slight difference in spelling, with an E instead of an I). But as I thought about it, I remembered that modern Mauritania doesn't overlap with ancient Mauretania, and furthermore modern Mauritania is not a kingdom. So I changed my answer to the correct one with about a second to spare. I still think the wording of the clue was poor, because it implies (to my way of thinking) the existence of an ancient Roman province named Morocco. The boundaries of ancient Maruetania overlap with the boundaries of modern Morocco, but I don't think it's proper to say Morocco was a province of the Roman Empire.
