There are way too many moving parts for actual live play to be viable.

Also, your suggestion is far from novel. This has been literally been discussed on the podcast—where Michael Davies has basically said that there are a lot of moving parts to worry about.

(Maybe you should listen to the podcast, or even read the writeups.)
but now to the live episode idea because that is kinda what this thread turned into. I will say that most of the things above is definitely correct. obviously the biggest problem that even a producer said is the judging but for one time event they can make sure they choose very specific answers but even that unforeseen issues that something is not as straightforward as you may think (Benedict, which is the one my voice dictation shows by the way the first time.) is a recent one.

granted if anyone is more specialised in live broadcast in general I would love to hear what you think his logic is somewhat sound and if anything I say is off. but from the very tiny bits but I do definitely know in Sporting events that this director loves to make talk about so often what is allowed to be broadcasted is different from what is allowed to be on the Jumbotron. I do not know the ins or outs or to extent, I probably spent hours on this single line to make sure I am not suggesting anything I actually do not know myself but The way he spoke about if they did it live they would have the audience yell about close causes is literally the thing that made me start questioning this producer. maybe he just never went to a live game in regular seating (as in not in the announcer suite) or maybe he is only familiar with the law of the UK which might be different on that. my father will probably know since he's a big sports lover that he pays attention to that and taught me anything I know but maybe it might be best just to make this a no audience event if it happens considering he views the audience screaming over close cause is a great idea. there is a high possibility that they going to have to get someone specific who deals with life stuff, I do not actually know how that works if there is such a person that specialises in that in the business but it is not Davis.
