I mean, Canadians are going to be at a disadvantage here.

Jared is 40% solving his DDs with 0/2 when betting $3000 yet 2/2 when betting $2000.
I matched Jared for the FJ! clue as I could picture it. Hope no one had the right idea and missed the proper tense.
8 weeks and 40 games left for the season.
Mayim will host the 20 remaining in June and Ken will host the 20 games in July.

DD3 was just weird. I've always known it as the "judicial" branch, not judiciary...
Any reason "credibility" won't work for DJ24?
Pascal is the namesake of a programming language, not a computer program. Odd clue, but WECIB
FJ requires knowing how newspapers speak, had it right away.

Specifically, Pascal is a compiled programming language, and to convert such a language into executable machine instructions requires a computer program called a compiler, which traditionally has the same name as the source language it compiles. Therefore, I'll accept it without question.BrigadierSolo13 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 3:09 pm Pascal is the namesake of a programming language, not a computer program. Odd clue, but WECIB

Moments before, I had also selected Massachusetts for the previous clue, not having any idea where Jim Thorpe and his bride were from, and figuring that Boston (and environs) was the most likely big city to have a St Patrick's Church.LucarioSnooperVixey wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 5:04 pm 58 R (Missed Michael Chang and also negged with Massachusetts knowing that it was probably wrong.)

Some jerk posted this FJ from The NY Times in a Facebook history page I am in before noon today. I think I’d have gotten it so I’m counting it as a get.

"Nixon Quits" here. While the answer obviously had something to do with Nixon stepping down as President, I'm not sure how to figure out what wording might've been used for the headline.

Resigns just sounds more formal than quits, so it is more likely the Old Gray Lady would use, especially in 1974.

The wife of Jimmy Carter is ROSE-a-lyn. Surprised the neuroscientist didn't know.
When that very easy Final Jeopardy was revealed, I was thinking the Canadian would be at a disadvantage. Little did I know how much.

Yeah, I'm not wild about this FJ even though I made the right guess. Mrs P started with the right guess and talked herself out of it in favor of PRESIDENT FORD.

That category about celebrity weddings got me thinking. NBC's Saturday Night [Live] premiered the same day that Bill and Hillary Clinton got married.
Both have had their rough patches.
