The UN was earlier, so I figured NATO.
Disturbed by the wording of the clue: NATO is an organization; the pact was the North Atlantic Treaty.
You're disturbed?? That's exactly what the clue says! ...the 1949 pact that formed this...
Oh, oh.
Yes, disturbed for sure!
So focused on the 'pact' part.
Thanks,

Thanks for the clip.
You would think that would shut me up, but if there is any chance it could have been an edit, I stand by my memory. It jumped out at us at the time.
How about my gerund question?

How about my gerund question?
Agreed, there should a possessive. It doesn't result from the body, it results from the body's slowing.
I'm struck by the original post- In the "wave" category, I wondered if "peristalsis" might have been close enough, but what really bothered me was "...the body slowing down... " instead of "...the body's slowing down..." in the clue.
I think the battle for the use of the possessive with gerunds is a worthwhile one.
I assume the poster means peristalsis wave, to fit the category. But there aren't actual Google hits for that. Because there's an adjective for a modifier - peristaltic. That seems a more useful matter of agreement than the gerund thing. I can't get excited about that - it's a rule, sure, but I'm not sure I grasp the distinction. And J! always tries to save space...
Now, use whom as a subject, when who is always the subject of a clause, and you'll get my hackles up...
