Sidney Carton

Would have needed it to be LL to get the Mann work.

I listened to the 2/2 play-in game.

Guessed "Tommy Hawk" on Friday, thinking of the missiles, which was annoyingly close.

I have "Der Zauberberg" on a flashcard for some reason, but I also would have known it from the plot description. "Berg" is German for mountain, which is a very useful fact for trivia.

I don't recall ever reading about Queen Adelaide...I forgot Black Hawk was a person's name...How would he feel about being commandeered by the US military?
My only exposure to The Scarlet Pimpernel was the not-very-successful Broadway musical...I'm good with literature, but I would not have been able to name the author of the book, Baroness Orczy, let alone that it was first published in 1905...

The Man in the Iron Mask Monday, Captain Morgan Tuesday, utterly blank Friday on something named after a person that there are multiple ones of ("An aircraft carrier! Wait, there's only one per namesake; they aren't all named after the same guy...").

With ordinary German knowledge alongside awareness of the title Die Zauberflöte and the German text of the Tool track "Die Eier von Satan" containing "sagt die Zauberwörter" ("say the magic words"), I had both halves of Zauberberg locked down.

Victoria on Thursday - didn't think it was right but couldn't think of anything else

I read the Scarlet Pimpernel a long time ago, high school probably. I don't remember much about the book, but I remember that I liked it

Locked in on Cook too quickly on Tuesday and didn't reconsider. No idea on Friday.

Haven't read The Scarlet Pimpernel, but saw the Broadway musical
Never saw Jimmy Buffett. Did not know Black Hawk was a person.
