Donna was 1/3 on wagering clues and it cost her the match. Sriram only played one betting clue while it was enough to get him the victory while Dan could not do nearly enough with his 2/2 when wagering.

Sure, let's have a guest reader category and images in AIRLINE LOGOS to open play for the week.

The FJ! clue had me so lost that my pen could not move as MI for Miranda was a non-starter. 1972 gave me no inspiration other than the E.R.A. What I needed was the logical approach to just start from I and see if anything woke me up.

The way this round of the CWC is going I expect Long to lead and lose tomorrow.

I got to the right answer, with detours through L and XI.

Like Myron, I first thought of L for 50th anniversary, then realized it was way too direct for FJ.
Remembered what happened in 1972 and got to the right response.

Ironic that Donna was the only player to miss FJ. It’s a pseudo sports clue in disguise.

Speaking of Canada, naming what is on their airline logo is worth $1,000?

Instaget FJ. Agree with Golf is a back door sports clue.

That depends on how familiar you are with Title IX. As a Title IX mandatory reporter, I can tell you that it has perhaps more to do with sexual harassment than it does with college sports. To Joe Average, though, that’s probably the only association that they’ll make, so yeah…

I still don't really see how playing an electric guitar with teeth is possible. Teeth are not ideally configured to pick strings. I tried once or twice. My mouth got as far as kissing the strings before I knew that this wasn't going to happen under any circumstances.

EDIT: Of course there's a YouTube tutorial.

Here's the master at work, but no closeups from the right angle.

ABC had a commercial for the Harlem Globetrotters between rounds (after the Globetrotters clue). Wouldn't have helped me, I only got as far as 'Sweet...', and it was simply enough for the -text- for me to catch the earworm.
(Couldn't dislodge Sweet Sweetback in time...dumb brain; doubly so because that'd never be a response  )
The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.
Latest movies (1-10): Blancanieves (10), Morbius (5), Farmageddon (7), The Batman (8)

During the 2d commercial break last night I read a review of a new biography of Stanley Kubrick that in its 1st pragraph names the estate that was part of the clue Ken read a few minutes later...I would have got the clue in any case but it still felt serendipitous!
