Meanwhile last night's episode of Blank Slate, contestant spelled Tiramisu, "Teramassue".

Tiramisu means "pick me up" in Italian, but that contestant has let me down.

Malala's last name is almost not J-Canon as a correct response.

The only person to provide her last name out of the 15 clues about her so far is Elliot Yates in the 2015 ToC. (PEOPLE for $1600.)

Note for potential future showoffs: Consider responding with just "Yousafzai" on a clue about Malala, assuming it isn't one of those cheat clues that spots you the name of her book.

Seeing Robert's post in New Old Games, is the one minute warning completely gone? I can't remember the last time I heard it.

I don't think there's been occasion for it to come up? There haven't exactly been boards full of stumpers and wrong answers lately.
The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.

As has been noted, at some point, an executive decision was made to make sure all boards are fully cleared. I wonder what would happen if one day a board was played that editing could not save.

Ah, the Kobayashi Maru squared. When even editing the program can't solve the problem. I don't believe in that situation.

We have NBC's coverage of "World Chase Tag"/competitive parkour on TV right now, and I think the color commentator just uttered the words "like a greased penguin fired out of a cannon." :o

That reminds me of this song. The original 19th cent. composer wasn't credited by Tin Pan Alley either. (And there's a common denominator.)

Not wanting to bog down the pre-emption thread with further discussion of my state’s politics, I thought I’d share this in response to alietr’s comment.

It takes a special kind of group think ignorance to be that incompetent in assembling an In Memoriam segment.
